Over time you may have a piece that needs to be repaired, this can happen either by accident or continued wear.  Please keep in mind jewellery and gemstones are delicate and should be carefully handled. You can read how to care for your jewellery below. Any breakage from mishandling or general wear in the course of normal use is not considered a fault.

Unexpected knocks can cause damage to precious metals and stones. Diamonds, along with all other gemstones, can break or chip if exposed to sudden impact so it's good practice to remove jewellery before playing sport or doing any other physical activity. 

Chlorine can also dissolve gold, so gold jewellery should never be worn while using bleach-based cleaners or whilst swimming in a chlorinated pool. 

If you have stone-set jewellery, we do advise you to have it cleaned and checked every 12 months to make sure the stones are secure. 

When cleaning your jewellery at home, use a soft, worn-out toothbrush and some warm, soapy water or a silver dip cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaning materials which can leave scratches on the surface of precious metals and softer gemstones. Sterling Silver will tarnish naturally over time. Using a silver dip or silver polishing cloth will help keep your silver bright.
